Who are we?

The Scottish Episcopal Church is a member of the Anglican Communion, and thus a sister church of the Church of England, the Church of Ireland and the Church in Wales, and of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America. We are also in full communion with the Porvoo churches, which include the Lutheran churches in Scandanavia.

We are part of the Diocese of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane. Our Bishop, who is also Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, is the Most Rev David Chillingworth and his Cathedral is in Perth.

Holy Trinity has had a presence in Dunfermline since about 1840 (click here for more on our history) and now has around 250 members with an average Sunday congregation of around 100 – most of whom come to the main Sung Eucharist at 11.00 am.

We are an inclusive congregation. We welcome people of all ages, from many different backgrounds and life-situations, those who have been long in the Christian faith, and those who are seeking, exploring, questioning or sceptical. We try to be relaxed and to offer space to reflect and grow in faith rather than to impose our beliefs on people.

For younger members: We have a thriving Young Church group, made up of children from about the age of two, up to about the age of 12, a crèche for the very young and a strong Youth Fellowship, for those of secondary school age and beyond. For older people there are a variety of fellowship and study groups.
