The Way Ahead

Once the group has managed to put together this ‘picture’ of where we are as a congregation, we plan, with the help of one or two members of the Diocesan Casting the Net Action Group, to hold a Congregational Consultation Day. At this day we plan to share and discuss with the congregation where we’ve got to so far and to hear the thoughts and opinions of members of the congregation.

From there, we will try to incorporate the views and thoughts of members of the congregation into our understanding of where we are and then, with the help of the Diocesan Casting the Net team, will try to develop a draft strategic plan. Once the draft is complete and the Vestry has approved it, we plan to distribute it amongst the congregation for consultation and comment. Then, after any amendments arising out of the consultation are incorporated, we will be ready to adopt the strategy and begin its implementation.
