An inclusive Church

Our Church Community at Holy Trinity includes people of diverse ages and backgrounds. Our aim is to make everyone welcome no matter who they are or from which walk of life they come. That includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • believers and agnostics
  • conventional Christians and questioning sceptics
  • women and men
  • those of all sexual orientations and gender identities
  • those of all races and cultures
  • those of all classes and abilities
  • those who hope for a better world and
  • those who have lost hope.

An outward-looking Church

At Holy Trinity we are keen to be involved in our local community, and to work both with local churches, and with other agencies and organisations, and ways of increasing this involvement are always under review as part of our ongoing Casting the Net initiative.

We are part of a number of ecumenical initiatives, one of which is the “Oasis Community Project”, This provides chaplaincy for people working in the town centre, an Oasis where shoppers can meet and find a listening ear, and an environment where people living and working in the centre of Dunfermline can receive support for the life challenges that they face.

We have connections with several counselling and other support agencies within the city, and our Rector is Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Talk Matters counselling service.
