Left to right: Tim, Bishop David and Ross

Holy Trinity has a full-time Rector, Rev Tim Bennison, who is also the Rector of our Daughter Church, St Margaret’s in Rosyth. Tim originally comes from Hull in Yorkshire but lived for many years in Aberdeen having originally moved North to do a degree in theology at the University of Aberdeen. Following his ordination in 1997 he served as Chaplain to St Andrew’s Cathedral in Aberdeen and as Assistant Chaplain to the University. Later he served as Priest-in-Charge of St James’ Aberdeen and was the Diocesan Mission 21 Co-ordinator. More recently he spent some time as part of the ministry team on the North Mearns Group of Churches at the North of the Diocese of Brechin, and several years as Priest–in-Charge at All Saints’, Glencarse – at the South of the Diocese of Brechin. He moved to Dunfermline in September 2008.

We are also pleased that Rev Ross Kennedy has retired to his home town of Dunfermline after serving as a Priest in the Church of England, and has been much involved in the life and worship of Holy Trinity. He celebrated 25 years in the Priesthood in July 2011, as reported in this extract from the St Margaret’s newsletter.

Valerie with Bishop David after her ordination as deacon

After a career in nursing, Rev Valerie Walker was ordained deacon at the Cathedral in Perth on 27 June 2010 and was appointed for two years as a ‘Diocesan Curate’. This means that, as well as working with us here at Holy Trinity and at St Margaret’s she also serves with St John’s, Alloa. Valerie was ordained priest on 3 June 2011, as reported in this extract from the St Margaret’s newsletter.
